I was trying to avoid the obvious imagery of someone narrowly avoiding a cliff edge. I though of a mouse trap which brought back memories of one of the greatest board games in the world, this gave me something to work with. The sense of recognition and personal association can be really powerful in visual communication. This is especially true when the viewer feels part of an exclusive club in understanding the reference. And more still when that's a nostalgic memory such a childhood board game.

The accompanying illustrations warn of leaders who are ‘control freaks’, ‘risk averse’ and having ‘poor people skills.’
